Robbie Aiken

Robbie Aiken is the Vice President, Federal Affairs for Pinnacle West Capital Corporation. Robbie has led the Washington, DC office of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation since November 1986. Pinnacle West is the parent company to Arizona Public Service Company, Arizona’s largest electric utility. The Board of Directors elected him as an Officer and Vice President of Federal Affairs in 1999.

As the chief lobbyist for Pinnacle West, Robbie works extensively with Members of Congress, their staff, and officials at various executive agencies. He also represents Pinnacle West in various Washington, DC-based energy industry and business trade associations.

Prior to joining Pinnacle West, Robbie was appointed to various positions connected to President Ronald Reagan from 1979-1986 including Reagan for President ’80, and Presidential Inaugural Committee ‘81. In the Reagan Administration, he served as the Principal Senate Liaison and Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy, Director of Legislative Affairs at the Bureau of Reclamation U.S. Department of the Interior, and as a Special Assistant in the U.S. Small Business Administration. Robbie has volunteered as a senior lead advance representative for the White House and in several presidential campaigns for over four decades. He began his Washington career in the summer of 1977 as an intern in the office of Senator Paul Laxalt (R-NV) and was reappointed in the summer of 1978.

Born in New York City and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Robbie graduated with a BS in Journalism from the University of Florida in 1979 and currently resides in Alexandria, VA and is the proud father of his daughter Gillian and son William. In his spare time, he enjoys learning how to play golf.
