Chris Phalen

Chris is Vice President of Domestic Policy at the National Association of Manufacturers leading a team that handles energy, sustainability, environment, permitting reform, labor, transportation, and infrastructure policies. Before joining the NAM, Chris was a senior policy advisor to Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), where he guided policy on critical issues, such as writing key sections of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, leading the energy and drought resilience sections of the Inflation Reduction Act, and crafting the permitting reform provisions in the Fiscal Responsibility Act. In addition to his time on Capitol Hill, he has worked substantively in mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, and sustainable finance.
